The session covered issues regarding automatic exchange of tax information and the risks it poses for those using payment systems and not withdrawing funds to individual entrepreneurs' accounts; receiving income on foreign bank cards; taxes Ukrainians must pay abroad; differences in tax status depending on the type of income; avoidance of double taxation; criteria for determining tax residency. The final part of the lecture focused on tax peculiarities for Ukrainians in various European countries, allowing participants to actively engage with the lecturer by asking questions that interested them.
Documentation for an online store in Romania
Before entering the Romanian market and launching an online store, our client needed to develop a set of documents for his website. The fact is that the local legislation has certain peculiarities regarding consumer protection. Digilaw's lawyers familiarized the client with them and synchronized them with other EU acts in the course of fulfilling this assignment. As a result of the services provided, the client received a set of 4 documents necessary for the operation of the online store. Since the buyers of goods should be not only individuals, consumers, but also legal entities, we took into account the peculiarities of cooperation with them, which found its place in the public offer and terms of use.
The parties entered into a service agreement based on the Time and Material model, but the client insisted that the agreement should specify a clear amount of the cost of services. In the course of providing services, the client ordered the design of additional pages of the website, which affected the cost of further development. However, in the client's opinion, these were not additional pages, so their design and development should have been included in the primary scope of services. Of course, our client explained to the client that these were additional services and, accordingly, the cost of services specified in the contract should be increased. The client categorically refused to increase the budget, but then we got involved. After analyzing the provisions of the contract, we formed a position that allowed the client to look at the contract provisions differently and, as a result, increase the budget by the amount required by our client.

Copyright protection of objects placed on a website Our client recently discovered that the design and texts of his company's website had been copied by persons conducting activities in the client's field. We analysed the infringements and prepared claims. Despite all the policies of the domain registrar and the hosting provider including copyright protection, they were not rushing to take the actual measures. However, with our team's close cooperation, the convincing claim and persistent communication with the hosting provider, the infringing website was suspended.
